Olympus' wide range of biopsy forceps provides a number of advantages to meet the needs of various clinical requirements.
Pulmonologists identified that sharpened cups ensure superior cutting performance which can lead to fewer artefacts and less bleeding. The forceps are made of high quality stainless steel to provide physicians with a product of high longevity and a smooth cup operation in any situation. In order to easily approach targets at difficult locations, Olympus offers the SwingJaw and EndoJaw biopsy forceps that allow an easy tangential targeting of lesions with their swinging cups. The precise cup design with smoothened outer surfaces and the optimised flexibility of the sheath contribute to the fully tested outstanding bronchoscope channel compatibility.

Single-use biopsy forceps - EndoJaw

There is a comprehensive line-up of single-use biopsy forceps available for a 2.0 mm instrument channel with the choice of four different cup shapes to provide high quality biopsies. EndoJaw biopsy forceps cups' are engineered for precision closure to provide optimal tissue samples. Their fenestrated cups with swinging jaw mechanism facilitate the positioning of the forceps cups at biopsy sites and allow for tangential approaches.

Reusable biopsy forceps - SwingJaw

These reusable forceps provide a unique SwingJaw mechanism to aid tangential biopsies in narrow lumen of the tracheo-bronchial tree. Their alligator and rat tooth jaws enable a firm grip even from hard tissue for an improved bite. They are also available as rotatable needle type version for an accurate positioning at the target site.

Reusable biopsy forceps - FB-21C-1

The FB-21C-1 biopsy forceps feature a fenestrated, oval cup design to provide deeper and larger biopsies to help increase diagnostic success. Olympus offers a versatile line-up of high quality reusable biopsy forceps with a wide variety of different jaw designs. There are rotatable forceps available as well as types with or without needle. The biopsy forceps are compatible with instrument channels from 1.2 mm to 2.8 mm diameter or larger.

Reusable mini biopsy forceps - FB-56D-1

These mini biopsy forceps are compatible with a 1.2 mm instrument channel to allow successful sampling also with the slimmest channel bronchoscopes. Their elongated rat tooth cups enable a reliable biopsy even in the small bronchi.
