The BF-UC180F is a linear endobronchial ultrasound scope for transbronchial needle aspiration (EBUS-TBNA), specially designed for lymph node staging, including interlobar nodes, hilar nodes and the mediastinum. Its large channel accommodates the dedicated range of Olympus sampling devices and its increased 60° scanning area allows sampling under full visual control. With its insertion capability and increased access to lymph node stations the EBUS-TBNA scope offers an alternative to mediastinoscopy. The EBUS scope's impressive diagnostic value is complimented by compatibility to Aloka and Olympus ultrasound processors. With its detachable ultrasound cable design, ease of use is not only achieved in terms of system compatibility but also to endoscope reprocessing.

The BF-UC180F provides an improved endoscopic image, a wider ultrasound scanning area, a choice of several scanning frequencies and Doppler enhancements. The improved imaging features are carefully balanced with the working channel size, now increased to 2.2 mm diameter. Suction capability is improved and compatibility to a growing selection of dedicated Olympus sampling devices is ensured.

Better detection of vascular involvement

The BF-UC180F incorporates colour and power Doppler, with corresponding high resolution flow modes, to allow better detection of vascular involvement before lymph node sampling.

Large instrument channel

The large 2.2 mm diameter instrument channel accommodates a dedicated 22G and 21G cytology needles conceived to provide material for smears and cellblocks in order to decide on malignancy and allow histotyping.

Unique detachable cable design

The unique detachable cable design improves handling of the endoscope during cleaning, disinfection and storage and facilitates compatibility with Olympus EU-ME2, EU-C60 and Hitachi Aloka Prosound Alpha 5, Alpha 7 and Alpha 10.

Scope ID function

The BF-UC180F stores individual scope information on the built-in memory chip and displays it on the monitor to help facilitate management of the endoscopy suite.

Compatible with reprocessing workflows

The BF-UC180F can be embedded in your cleaning and disinfection workflows, supporting full traceability and documentation of all reprocessing relevant phases.
The BF-UC180F is fully compatible with Olympus ETD Washer / Disinfectors and the Olympus Endoscope Drying Cabinet for complete endoscope drying and storage for extended periods under safe conditions.
